My Search for Aluminumus

My search for Aluminumus began years ago.

I had begun a search for this elusive commodity on other occasions, but the serious quest had not been established until after I had met a germane group of country settlers. If there were any folk that could teach me all the things needed to be learned about the art of procuring a carrot of a different class, I knew that these people could give me the answer.

A kindly gentleman, who had often been called Santa by numerous children, headed the family. The man was knowledgeable in many areas and often pointed out things that could be held in reserve for future needs. Therefore, the task of searching for Aluminum-us had began.

For those of you readers who do not have any idea at all what I am referring to, I will attempt to clarify. Aluminum-us or (Aluminum-us Cannus) is a thin metal phenomenon that often hides away under bushes, behind trees, or in the tall grasses. Some of the younger ones that have not learned to avoid capture will remain out in the open and these are the ones that most agents of the conquest are apt to retrieve. I however, prefer to locate and capture the eldest and most wise of the breed. Although the easy prey will also return under my control enabling the payment of the lucrative cash reward.

In certain areas of the United States there is a per subject reward while in other parts of the country the reward is paid by the total mass of the captured cluster. If by chance you happen to be in the per subject area the reward is much more lofty. On the other hand, the group rate is much more fun if you enjoy the sport of search and capture.

There are some things that anyone who wants to be an agent of Confiscation Inc. should know about their subject, as the following schedule will reveal:

Aluminum-us Cannus

  • Types: Beerus Cannus and Popus Cannus

  • SIZE: anywhere from 3" to 8"
  • CAMOUFLAGE: any number of color combinations can be used.

  • DEFENSE MECHANISMS: Beerus Cannus- this variety often uses a stagnant liquid    that will cause you to feel nauseous if you inhale the fumes. SPECIAL CARE: be aware that this creature often employs bees as a secondary defense system. Popus Cannus- Although this particular breed does not use the same stagnant smell as the previous one, the sweet smell can turn pungent if Popus Cannus has been in hiding for quite some time.

Again, the bees are also used as a secondary defense system. Both breeds have an open mouth that will slice your fingers open if you are misfortunate enough to put your digits in the wrong place.

GROUPINGS: the Aluminum-us breeds can often be found grouped together in
bunches of six or more. Or in rare occasions found alone. There may also be hiding in the midst with them the beer-us bottle-us or popus bottle-us. In some parts of the United States there is a reward for the bottle-us breed, but that is not the case in my area. Those may be found in the plastic or glass variety.

HIDING PLACES: these creatures can be found hiding in any number of places behind trees, under cars, ditches, in tall grass on the roadside, in garbage cans, under old tires amongst other unknown locations.
Capture Techniques

The capture of the Aluminum-us breed is not a difficult task to master. As a matter of fact it is so simple to do that even a small child can achieve success with relative ease.

SAFETY GEAR: As with most types of jobs there are certain types of equipment that can be employed to make the job easier and safer. While not mandated by any particular law these are some objects that can be used.
  • Safety glasses
  • Gloves
  • Rubber Boots
  • Insect Repellent
  • Rubber or plastic apron

TOOLS: The following tools will make the job at hand easier and more productive.

  • Long stick with a nail in the end to jab and capture the Aluminum-us breed.
  • Grabber - allows the agent to reach and pick up from a greater distance.
  • Golf cart - either electric or gas powered, will make it easier on the feet, less walking.
  • Automobile - its purpose as the golf cart but has the advantage of a greater range.
  • Bucket or bag - something to contain the captured subjects

These are some of the basic ideas and techniques that I have found to be helpful with the search and capture of the often elusive and dangerous breed know as Aluminum-us Cannus.

Have you ever found yourself wanting to become involved in this type of activity?  What do you think about doing this as a profession?

Let me know what you thought of this story, good or hey bud try again.

I have been thinking

I have been thinking today of all the men and women that have served in the military, in  law enforcement and firefighting fields in this country.

This is what I discovered, we have a great nation;  because of the great sacrifices that are made by these men and women and their families and many people do not seem to know it or even care. We are in a battle against many foes, terrorism, drugs,  and pornography to name a few.  (1 Peter 5:8)

The blessings of God are upon our country; do we live each day as a thankful people?

The price of freedom is always high, it is not concerned with race, with gender, or even age. Freedom always comes by a loss of life, heartache, spilled blood,(John 19:34) and pain and suffering.

The sacrifice is necessary for the protection of humanity, for this is a violent world that we live in. It is a world that has elements of good and evil throughout the land. Violence near peace; hate near love; and sanity dwelling alongside insanity.

WE MUST NOT GIVE UP!!!

There is coming a day when God himself will return and those that know Him as Savior will leave this sin cursed world for a more wonderful place.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16) (1 Thessalonians 4:17), (Matthew 24:36, Luke 12:40)

Here is my plea to all of the members of our military, law enforcement and firefighters and any others that place their life on the line for the protection of life and property.

I pray that you are ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ, if not would you consider the words written in the Bible?

Thank you for all that you endure to keep us safe, and may God bless you and your families.

Hidden Bible Books

There are thirty books of the Bible in this paragraph. Can you find them? This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his John boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot, that's a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new sales record. The local paper, the Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it "The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight." Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus, there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God bless.

Did you find all of them?

Multi Tasking

Multi Tasking - we all do it in some way through our life

Driving - eating - working

No matter where or when in our life there comes a time when we will be called upon to perform more than one task at a time - MULTI TASKING

I would like to take a few minutes tonight to show you an area in our spiritual life that we can do this and it will make a great change in our lives.

1.  Memorize God's Word

2.  Meditate on God's Word

3.  Move upon God's Word

4.  Meet with God

MEMORIZE GOD'S WORD

WHY?

1.  (Psalms 119:11) Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.  (KJV)

Every day we all fight a battle against our flesh, whether we are saved or not.

lust, sin, and temptation are all things that we face eah day.  If you are not saved, do not know Jesus as Savior then you are simply doing what comes natural.

If you are saved, realized that you are a sinner, there is a penalty for that sin and know that you could not do anything to save yourself, and by faith trusted Jesus to save you; then you now have two natures battling for control; of your life.

The one nature that gets fed the most will be the one that wins the battle for control of your life.

WHY MEMORIZE GOD'S WORD?

TO HELP PREVENT SINNING AGAINST GOD

FOR GUIDANCE IN OUR TIME OF NEED

2.  (Psalms 119:105) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  (KJV)

Think of a flashlight pointed at the ground in front of you, it lights the area right near you.  The Word of God does the same thing for us, it gives us an answer for our immediate needs.

When the jailer came into the prison cell after the earthquake following the point when Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises unto God, he had been at the point where he was going to kill himself because he thought that in the chaos some of the prisoners had escaped; after discovering that none had, he asked "sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

They replied, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."  Acts 16:30-31

In the darkness of the hour, God's Word gave an answer to his immediate need.

Have you seen God's Word as a lamp for your immediate need?  Salvation or any other need?

Then the Word of God shines as a light down the path of life, as we follow God after salvation the Word of God gives us guidance along the way.

(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  (KJV)

MEDITATE UPON THE WORD OF GOD

Take the scripture verse that you have memorized and think about it; really think about it.  Is there a special meaning to you in the verse?

1.  In what way does the verse help you out?
2.   Is there someone in  that  passage that you can relate to?
3.  What are the consequences if you disobey the Word that you have read?
4.  What blessing is in store for you if you choose to obey the scripture?

(Psalms 1:1-2) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  (KJV)

HOW DO WE DO IT?

You could memorize the verse first then meditate upon it, if it is a short verse then this could work well, but what if it is a longer verse?

Then meditating on it while memorizing it would be a great help, you see we will rermember what we hold important.  If we meditate upon the scriptures and think of why they are important to us we will be more likely to memorize them, and won't give up on doing it.

The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9, my daughter had to memorize this verse in school and she still remembers it today and that has been 7 years ago, she said it took a lot of work and prayer to do it.

(Esther 8:9) Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.  (KJV)

To memorize this scripture and find the meaning of it you would need to also look at the surrounding verses to find out what is going on; not only are you memorizing scripture but studying the Bible as well.  What started out as a simple memorization exercise has now grown into something more.

Memorizing God's Word and meditating upon it is great; but, knowing it in your head and meditating on it in your heart is only half the task; MULTI TASKING...  more than 1 thing at a time

WE MUST ALSO MOVE UPON WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED

(James 1:22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  (KJV)

There may be some of you here tonight that have learned something through the preaching service already tonight; what if the two of us had just been content to keep the things that God has revealed to us through His Word to ourselves and not come to serve you in this place,  would you have learned what you did tonight?

What if others had not come to preach God's Word, who would have been helped?

What if the disciples and all those that ever heard what Jesus had preached in His time had kept silent?

Would the world know of Jesus today?

If we keep all that we know to our self will the next generation know about God's wonderful plan of salvation?

(Proverbs 30:1-4) The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?  (KJV)

What would happen to a generation that does not know God?

(Proverbs 30:11-14)

There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. (No respect)

There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. (No wisdom of God)

There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. (Prideful)

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.  (KJV) (Violent)

Solomon saw this generation in his time, and as I look around this world I can see the same thing.

It is easy to look at the upcoming generation and say, yes look at them; you see how they are, wicked, ungodly, that is the younger generation.

What about my generation?  I see the same thing there also,

When I look into the mirror of God's Word, there are time when I see others in the Bible doing wrong and I want to say; AHA, see look at them,

Do you know what I see if I take the time to look closer?  ME

Lastly, while we are memorizing, meditating, moving, in order for this to be affective we must also be meeting with God.

(Psalms 50:15) And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.  (KJV)

(Jeremiah 29:12) Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  (KJV)

( Psalm  105:4) Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. (KJV)

(Jeremiah 29:12) Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  (KJV)

(Acts 17:27) That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: (KJV)

MULTI TASKING

  • MEMORIZE

  • MEDITATE

  • MOVE

  • MEET

CAN WE DO IT?  YES WE CAN

(Philippians 4:13) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  (KJV)

WILL WE DO IT?  THAT IS OUR CHOICE

WILL YOU DECIDE TO DO IT RIGHT NOW?

HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO TRUST JESUS AS YOU SAVIOR?

TIME IS SHORT,

ACCEPT JESUS or REJECT JESUS
